Gift him ‘Time’ this Father’s Day

Gift him some time on this father’s day,

Because that’s what is slowly slipping away!

Make your dad feel special everyday my dear,

He wants nothing but just wants you near,

For he deserves a lot more than you could ever give,

Just give him that reason he gave you to live!!!

This weekend is special for one reason that its Father’s Day!

I am sure most of you will say its just another day for card firms and gift shops to make extra money, but there is every reason for you or me to celebrate this day, because if we have other days to celebrate the existence of a relation, this is one special occasion to make your dad feel that you are proud of him.

Saturdays out here on The Sip of Life are to reminisce those early years of my life, which still bring a smile and often tears of joy, because remembering them is a treat for my heart and for my soul, which feels replenished after what I call, “Paying tribute to my childhood”.

My father who still gives me countless reasons to feel happy about, is the first person I find awake in the morning everyday. Still leading a disciplined life, his selfless love reminds me of the yesteryears when I would hold his finger and walk around, feeling secure even while crossing a busy road. I remember how every night I would get into the bed lying besides him, with he narrating his childhood incidents to me, over and over again. But every time he would make it so exciting that I would be delighted and never knew when I closed my eyes, eventually venturing into a deep slumber.

Now when I hardly get any time to be with him, he still cares. I know how he has been trying to make me tie the tie knot, but I always go up to him for that whenever I have to wear one. Every morning he makes it sure he cleans up my car so that it is ready for me when I leave for office. He makes it sure to assist me in my all bank related works. He is perfect when it comes to repairing a faulty wiring in the house and when anything goes wrong in the washroom, he is the best plumber around. He makes sure he tries himself first, and with perfection!

This special Sunday I have already got a gift for him, but I wish I could gift him more of my time, which for him has always been in abundance with time, and for me fallen short over the years. I wonder why and I know I can try, but when?

Take out some time for your dad this Sunday, and always, because Father’s Day comes every year, but you don’t know if your father will be there the next time. I know its harsh to say that, but then to put it in another way, who knows if you would be around to celebrate it next year.

Make the best of this relation, before it slips out of your hand any moment any day!
