Sorry I Am Late!
Time has always been one thing we often disrespect often ending up losing your own reputation. There are not many people now who actually care to be on time when they say so. And I find many who make it a point they are always late, even if it’s an important meeting at their workplace.
I have many habitual violators in my office too, every time reaching late with a big smile on their faces as if they had accomplished something praiseworthy. And they have reasons to support their case, which in no way are convincing.
I get to meet so many people every day and do come across some being there always at the right time. In fact at most of the time I feel ashamed when I give them the time and I reach a little late though I try making it possible at the time given, but still falter at times.
I am good at being on time for work related appointments but bad when it comes to meeting time commitment in my personal life. I would rather say, I have to feel sorry every time and at times don’t even have the courage to say so, when I leave the other person waiting endlessly, never to be there even after the time has gone by.
I would like to conclude this short post by sharing a recent incident, which shows how irresponsible at times we get when it comes to be on time. A gentleman had invited me and another person for lunch and while we were there at the venue on time, the other person was nowhere to be seen. The worst part was that he first took our calls saying he was coming and after some time even ignored our calls, leaving us in a lurch.
We had to finally go ahead with our meal after waiting for long. And the worst part was that he had the audacity of not even saying sorry for doing so even when he met the gentleman met him later.
Give a time when you can be there or else don’t promise that you will be there. You will realize this only when you are made to wait like the way you do to others. Only then you will know what it is to be not on time for others who are waiting for you.

hahahaha there is a long list of habitual violators in office….I think you should make them read this post
“Office violators”….interesting.
punctuality is must, and it becomes very much required when you have given time to someone else
Time is very precious we should not fritter it away.
